What to Wear to a Wedding | No Need for Pretty Dresses | Jade Seah

It’s wedding season as we hit the end of the year, but it can sometimes be tricky to figure what to wear with all these “rules” as a guest.

I honestly get bored just wearing safe “pretty” dresses to weddings – where you also run the risk of looking like one of the bridesmaids! (True story for one wedding I attending in a dove grey flowy number, and another in a floral frock…)

Also, it can be costly to keep having to buy new dresses for every wedding you attend, so I usually work with pieces and separates I already own.

Here are some options for you to consider for your next wedding event – and yes, I threw in a “safe” flowy number in there as well! #couldntresist

Recycling Clothes from the 90s & 00s

I am a hoarder. It is sad, but unfortunately true. I have stuff in my wardrobe from as far back as the 90s!

My defence is that because I haven’t changed dress size, they still fit the same. Just a few styling tricks to make them look new again for 2018, and voila, no need to buy new clothes!

Here are some of my personal favourite pieces that have stood the test of time (and fashion trends!).
